Membership for 2020/2021

Many of you will be aware that owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, our collectors have been unable to obtain the subscriptions for the current year.

On a proposal received from Hazel Phillips, the Management Committee have decided that the following steps will be taken to cover the above mentioned year.

1. Those members who have paid for 2020/21, will as 1st April 2021 be given a Membership Card for the year 2021/22 free of charge.

2. Those members who have NOT paid will receive free membership until 1st April 2021, and then pay for the year 2021/22.

Membership of the Hayling Island Horticultural Society costs £4 a year (£6 for mainland addresses), and the membership year runs from 1st March to 28th/29th February.

You can pay for your membership by standing order, bank transfer or cheque.

Each subscription covers a household, entitling all members of the household to the privileges in compliance with the Rules of the Society

If you wish to be come a member please download, print and complete the below membership form returning it to Lesley Tyrell with either a cheque for the amount, or tick to confirm you have set up a standing order or made a BACs payment.

Gardening Advice At Hand

Help is at hand for advice on gardening problems,
visit the Trading Centre during opening hours,
come to an afternoon talk, or flower show.
Alternatively use our Feedback Form
and we will try to give an answer.

Garden and Allotment Competitions

The Hampshire Federation of Horticultural Societies
organise annual Competitions open to our members.

The Peter Maunder Garden Competition is held annually in July.
You do not need acres of rolling park land,
there is one class in the competition for all garden sizes.

The Allotment Competition has two Sections:
Plots of less than 10 rods.
Plots of 10 rods and over.
10 rods are equal to 250 sq m or 300 sq yds.
