Club Talks General Format

URC hall
Gill Elton (HIHS Lecture Secretary) organises our lecture meetings.

Talks start at 2.30pm, in the URCH, Hollow Lane, PO11 9EY.

The venue provides opportunity to meet other members,
hear about various aspects of gardening from experts,
seek advice about your current horticultural problems,
and enjoy a social and friendly afternoon.
------
Meetings conclude with a raffle
and light refreshments.
------
A charge is made for non members
so please bring along your membership card.

Our next meeting on the 23rd October is
"Everything You Need To Know About Climbers".

To be held in The Station Theatre, West Town, Hayling Island.
An evening presentation commencing at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from the Theatre Box Office,
02392 466363 - £4 Members - £5 Non Members.

Pip the renown radio and TV presenter, who has
a wealth of knowledge to offer on climbing plants,
has offered a question and answer session
at the end of her illustated talk.

September Speaker John Geden

Bee keeping
Our talk on the 25th September was
"Bee Farming: Local Golden Goodness".

Sinah Common Honey was founded by John Geden in 1991.
John currently manages two hundred colonies of bees
across Hayling Island and South Hampshire.

Their honey is sold direct from the home apiary in Hayling Island,
at farmers markets, local food fayres and local outlets.

Society Annual General Meeting

AGM
The 2019 Annual General Meeting will take place
on the evening of Wednesday 27th November
in the upper room of the Community Centre.

Officers will report on the Societies financial standing
and breath of activities undertaken in 2019,
together with their pre-planning for 2020.

In addition there will be:
The award and presentation of the annual trophies.
The monthly draw for the 100+ club.
The Raffle draw.
Christmas refreshments following the formal procedures.

The Secretaries report of the 2018 Annual General Meeting
is available for all to view at the Trading Centre.
